Coexistence depends on your country and how your number is used. If it’s not available, connect by creating a new number (Option B) instead — Meta provides a free number dedicated to EatNow.
Once a number is connected, Meta skips the QR step. To connect again from scratch, you must disconnect on both sides:
  1. In EatNow → Settings → Integrations → WhatsApp → Disconnect.
  2. On your phone, in the WhatsApp Business app → Settings → Linked devices, remove the EatNow / Meta device.
Then start “Connect my existing number” again — the QR code reappears.
History import only happens if you agreed to share your chat history during the Embedded Signup, and only for recent conversations. If you declined, disconnect and reconnect, accepting history sharing this time.
Coexistence can disconnect if the number changed phone, the app was reinstalled, the business app was inactive for a while, or the WhatsApp account was deleted. Open Settings → Integrations → WhatsApp to see the reason, then reconnect.
Sending automatic messages requires all of these:
  • A payment method on file with Meta (see Verification).
  • Your display name approved by Meta.
  • The relevant template approved (templates are usually approved within minutes).
  • WhatsApp notifications enabled in EatNow (see Enable notifications).
The name shown to customers is your display name, and WhatsApp only shows it once Meta has approved it (name_status = APPROVED). Right after connecting — including a Coexistence number — it’s usually still pending review, so customers see the number meanwhile. Approval takes a few hours to a few days; check the status in Verification. The integration card also shows a notice while it’s pending.
Use your real establishment name with correct spelling, and follow Meta’s display name rules. Edit it and resubmit from WhatsApp Manager — see Verification.
Check that:
  • The agent is enabled (Settings → AI Agent) and within its active schedule.
  • The contact isn’t on the agent block list, and isn’t blacklisted.
  • There’s enough agent credit.
  • A team member hasn’t just replied from the phone — the agent steps back when staff are active on a thread.
Yes. With Coexistence, replies sent from the WhatsApp Business app appear in the EatNow inbox, marked “sent from the phone”, so your team always has the full conversation.
