Steps

  1. Access the Activity Portal and Selected Products
    • Ensure you are in the Booking Portal > Activities section in the EatNow settings.
    • Locate the Selected Products section and select the activity to edit.
  2. Open the Product Edit Form
    • Next to the product, click the Edit icon (often represented by a pencil or pen).
  3. Add an Additional Field
    • At the bottom of the form, find the Additional Fields section and click on + Add a field.
    • A dropdown menu will offer different types of fields.
  4. Configure the Additional Field
    • Choose the desired field type.
    • Define the field name, its size, and indicate if this field is mandatory.
    • Write a help text to guide your customers in entering the information.

Examples of Additional Fields by Type

Here are examples of additional fields you can add, organized by field type:
  • Text
    • Example: “Food allergies”.
    • Utility: Allows customers to indicate their allergies to adapt the menu.
    • Help text: “Please list any food allergies for your group.”
  • Number
    • Example: “Number of children”.
    • Utility: Allows knowing the exact number of children participating in the activity.
    • Help text: “Indicate the total number of children participating in the activity.”
  • Date
    • Example: “Date of birth”.
    • Utility: Allows verifying age for specific activities (alcohol, etc.).
    • Help text: “Indicate your date of birth for age verification.”
  • Yes/No Field
    • Example: “Do you need special assistance?”
    • Utility: Allows identifying customers requiring special help.
    • Help text: “Check if you need special assistance during the activity.”
  • Single Choice
    • Example: “Menu preference”.
    • Utility: Allows customers to choose a menu type (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.).
    • Help text: “Choose your menu preference.”
    • Options: Vegetarian, gluten-free, standard, etc.
  • Multiple Choice
    • Example: “Which activities interest you?”
    • Utility: Allows knowing customer interests to better personalize the experience.
    • Help text: “Select the activities that interest you the most.”
    • Options: Hiking, guided tour, wine tasting, etc.
  1. Save Changes
    • After configuring the additional fields, click Update in the field form and then the Save button to save your changes.

Important Notes

  • Remember to choose the field type best suited to the information you wish to collect.
  • Use the help text to guide your customers and avoid entry errors.
  • The information collected via these additional fields will be available in the booking details.
