# Find an action in the history

> Find who changed a setting and give support the useful context.

Open **Settings → Action logs** with permission to read logs.

## Find a change

1. Check the selected restaurant.
2. Choose the period around when the change was noticed.
3. Narrow by **Author**, **Origin** or **Action**. Origin is the relevant
   domain, such as reservations or shifts.
4. Open an entry to read its details.
5. Clear filters if you cannot find the event.

Available details depend on the action: some entries contain before/after values
or affected objects. This is not a recording of every click or a guarantee that
every external change appears.

## Support example

“The evening shift changed”: search the period, Shift origin and update actions.
Provide the restaurant, affected item, time and detail found. An entry without a
human author may come from an automated process.

History helps explain an action; it does not undo it. To correct a setting,
return to its page after checking the intended effect. Keep the records you need
to investigate an incident.
