# Receive privatization inquiries

> Configure the privatization form, questions and notification recipients.

Under **Settings → Portal → Privatization**, enable the portal to receive
private-event **inquiries**. A privatization inquiry is not a confirmed table
reservation.

## Configure the form

1. Enable **Privatization portal**.
2. Write the **header message**, such as the information needed to prepare a
   quote.
3. Add **notification emails** that your team actually monitors.
4. Add useful questions: event type, budget or special requirements. Set types,
choices and required fields, using distinct field names.
5. Check the preview, then click **Save**.

Recipients here receive new privatization inquiries; they are separate from each
staff member’s personal notification preferences.

## Publish and handle inquiries

Copy the **privatization portal link**. To make it accessible from the main
portal, also enable **Privatization** under [Portal → Links](/portal/links).

Inquiries appear under **Privatizations** when the portal is enabled and you
have the relevant access. Your team must contact the customer to agree on the
event.

If the event should prevent ordinary bookings, configure the
[appropriate block](/shifts/block-reservations). The inquiry form does not
replace availability management.

## I am not receiving emails

Check activation, saved settings, recipient addresses and spam folders. Look for
the inquiry in EatNow before asking the customer to submit it again.
