# Permissions Reference

> Complete list of all permissions available in EatNow, organized by category. Use this reference when configuring roles or custom permissions.

This page lists every permission available in EatNow, grouped by category. Use it as a reference when creating [roles](/collaborators/roles) or assigning custom permissions to collaborators.

## Reservations

| Permission               | Description                                       |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------- |
| Read                     | View reservations                                 |
| Create / Update          | Create new reservations and edit existing ones    |
| Update past reservations | Modify reservations that have already taken place |
| Update payment           | Change payment information on a reservation       |
| Delete                   | **Critical** — Permanently delete reservations    |
